According to the classification of substrates, release films can be divided into three types: PET release film, PE release film and OPP release film. (1) PET release film: Substrate: PET material, namely polyethylene terephthalate, commonly known as polyester resin. Performance characteristics: high film-forming, excellent mechanical properties, strength and toughness are the best among all thermoplastics, tensile strength and impact strength are higher than those of general films; Good stiffness, stable size; It has excellent heat resistance, cold resistance, good chemical resistance and oil resistance, but it is not resistant to strong alkali and is easy to carry static electricity. Uses: Widely used in packaging, printing, silk screen printing, pad printing, nameplates, membrane switches, PCB, insulating products, circuit boards, laser anti-counterfeiting, lamination, electronics, sealing materials with films, reflective materials, waterproof materials, medicine (plaster paper), toilet paper, adhesive products, die-cutting and punching processing and other industries. (2) PE release film: PE material, i.e. polyethylene, is a thermoplastic resin prepared by polymerization of ethylene. Performance characteristics: excellent low temperature resistance, good chemical stability, can resist the erosion of most acids and alkalis (not resistant to acids with oxidizing properties), insoluble in general solvents at room temperature, small water absorption, excellent electrical insulation. Uses: Low-density polyethylene (LDPE) is mainly used in plastic bags, agricultural films, etc.; High-density polyethylene (HDPE) is mainly used in blow molding, injection molding and other fields. (3) OPP release film: OPP material, i.e., oriented polypropylene, biaxially oriented polypropylene. Performance characteristics: good physical stability, mechanical strength, air tightness, high transparency and gloss, toughness and wear resistance, the main disadvantage is poor heat sealability. Uses: The most widely used printed film at present.
